In addition to 4 Elekta linear accelerators, the Sutton dept has an Elekta MR linear accelerator, Cyberknife unit, Gulmay superficial unit and two Radixact units with a new Elekta Evo currently being installed. The department has a Siemens Confidence CT scanner and utilises multi- modality imaging for planning. The Royal Marsden Hospital is the largest comprehensive cancer centre in Europe. The post-holder will be responsible for carrying out radiotherapy processes as prescribed, carefully and accurately and assisting in the operational management of a specialist highly complex radiotherapy work base, which may be a treatment unit, a brachytherapy unit, a CT scanner, VS area or a treatment preparation area, and supervising the immediate radiographic team in the absence of a team leader.1.2.
