The Edward Bramley Law Society is the largest and one of the most prestigious societies on campus at The University of Sheffield, with almost 1,000 law and non-law members. The society was founded within the 1950's and has thrived ever since. To our members we offer a vast array of opportunities which are centered around both career and academic advancement, as well as hosting a variety of socials to ensure you make the make of your time at university!
We believe, with an increasingly competitive graduate job market, we need to keep up to date with what potential employers will be looking for within students. It is for this reason that we host career and academic events, legal workshops and competitions, careers dinners and much, much more, with the intention of building upon these skills to ensure post-graduate success. We also host sell-out social events, field three winning sports teams, hold various charity events. The support we receive from our sponsors and alumni allows us to achieve this goal, year on year, ensuring that students leave Sheffield confident in their own abilities when pursuing their dream career.
