Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a communications, journalism, public relations, English, electronic/digital media, or similar bachelor’s degree program with a graduation conferral date between December 2024 and June 2025.
  • Able to work 40 hours a week over a 12-week summer internship.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills—written and verbal.
  • Effective and comfortable collaborating with colleagues of diverse backgrounds and varying levels of seniority.
  • Motivated self-starter who can work well autonomously.
  • Strong academic, leadership, and/or extracurricular record.
  • Previous work, internship, and/or other leadership experience in communications.

Responsibilities

  • During your summer internship, your responsibilities may include working with media/journalists, analyzing news coverage, writing company communications, developing content for Amazon news channels (e.g., aboutamazon.com), drafting communication strategy, or supporting company events. Your internship will include one or more communication projects that you get to own and then recap your learnings and recommendations for GCCI leaders. Along the way, you’ll build valuable relationships with fellow interns, tenured communications professionals, and leaders from across the GCCI organization.
