Requirements

  • This position is open to graduate students with an interest in performance measurement, process improvement, public policy, user research, sociology, management, government administration and other related fields that emphasize performance assessment and monitoring. Graduate students in other programs with relevant interests and skills are also encouraged to apply
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to organize and communicate complex verbal and written information in a clear, concise, and accessible format. Visual and graphic communication aptitude is welcome, but not mandatory
  • Interest and/or experience in improving processes and evaluations to embed racial justice, disability justice, and climate justice
  • Strong project management, organization, and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite; specifically: Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • A commitment to supporting the objectives and goals of King County’s Equity and Social Justice Plan; and the county’s True North vision and values

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a survey of existing measurements, standards, evaluation tools, and qualitative analyses that are currently used to measure and evaluate the work of ECO and OEOCE
  • Complete a Needs Assessment to determine which programs and projects have not yet developed measurement, evaluation, and reporting standards, and which existing metrics and reports would benefit from standardization
  • Support the PSB Project Manager in creating an Implementation Plan for data gathering, evaluation, measurement, reporting, to streamline content and timelines for efficiency/consistency, and eliminate duplication/misalignment
  • Assist with coordination and facilitation of the above by providing administrative and logistic support including scheduling, & coordinating meetings, generating meeting minutes, and action item lists
