Requirements

  • Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and:
  • Pursuing a certificate, associate, or degree from an accredited institution in Marketing, Sports Management, Hospitality Management, Communication, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Ability to intern 20 hours per week with the flexibility to work weekends and evenings.
  • Commit to interning from March through September.
  • Have reliable transportation and comfortable driving to various courses across the City and County of Denver.
  • An interest in sports marketing.
  • Basic graphic skills in Adobe Design Software.
  • Ability to collaborate, engage, and socialize with others
  • Comfortable with working outdoors under any weather conditions.
  • Proven track record of being reliable and dependable
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education Requirement:  Current enrollment in an accredited college program leading to a certificate, licensure, associates, bachelor’s, or higher degree in, or a recent graduate (completed specified program within 1 year of completion). 
  • Experience: None 
  • Education and Experience Equivalency: No substitution of experience for education is permitted. 
  • License/Certification Requirement: This position, may require a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.

  • Submit a portfolio showing your digital work, and/or graphic designs, or other marketing materials you have designed. The portfolio can be digital or submitted as a PDF attachment.

Responsibilities

  • Be a key contributor to our pass sales campaign for Learn and Play & Friends and Family and Practice, Play passes, and our Loyalty program.
  • Lead the volunteer coordination for two Men’s events, one Senior men’s event, and one Women’s event that comprise our Denver City Amateur signature events.
  • Collaborate and coordinate events such as Golf Socials, the Colorado Golf Association Women’s Golf Experience, and other events as needed.
  • Assist with social media campaigns, creating content, and scheduling posts.
  • Design marketing flyers, social posts, and email campaigns.
  • Involved with overall operations of large tournament planning & execution for four City Amateur events
  • Work with golf pros and golf course superintendents to help market at grassroots level.
  • Support the golf admin team in other ad hoc projects aligned to the team’s initiatives.
