  • Self-starter willing to learn about IMAU terminal and rail operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Technical skills to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency.
  • Solid interpersonal skills to engage with your team, leadership, and external customers/partners.
  • Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree
  • Preferred Majors: Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, Finance, Marketing, International Business, Data Analytics and majors in a similar field of study will be considered
  • Proficient in MS office with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Service Planning
  • Data Retrieval, composition, analyzation for intermodal service and capital projects.
  • Develop and update presentations for senior management, customers, and internal business stakeholders.
  • Assist in development of business tools and analytic dashboards.
  • Assist in intermodal scheduling and end-to-end service planning.
  • Identify performance trends and perform root cause analysis to develop solutions.
  • Work to identify industry trends and perform benchmarking activities and internal progress.
  • Terminal Planning
  • Review of terminal acreages XLS (acres owned, developed, paved) and addition of newly completed projects. Editing the associated KML file.
  • Review and update of pavement inventory database with most recent terminal projects.
  • Review of all online terminal parking maps (PDF) for accuracy, make changes as needed, and upload updates to the NS website. Engage trucking partners on how to improve maps.
  • Operating Expense trend analysis to help identify terminals where CapEx can reduce OpEx. Visualize data by terminal and draw conclusions.
  • Identify and implement changes to make IMAU asset data more user friendly and to visualize key construction project timelines.
  • Automotive Damage Prevention
  • Perform data analysis to identify automotive damage trends and root cause analysis.
  • Develop and update presentations for meetings with automotive manufacturers to report results and recommended actions.
