Requirements

  • Graduate Level Student (MS or PhD).
  • Preferred majors: Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, Biochemistry, Pharmacology or other related majors.
  • Applicants who have completed their Ph.D. are not eligible for an internship.
  • Required skills:
  • Proficiency in molecular and cell biology techniques, including mammalian cell culture.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including troubleshooting and optimizing biochemical assays.
  • Background knowledge in in-vitro model systems.
  • Relevant technical skills for data analysis, ELN documentation, and presenting results.
  • Passion and ability to learn new concepts and skills. Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Other Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cell culture, including human iPSC maintenance, expansion, and differentiation.
  • Optimize immunoassay to detect low-level endogenous protein in neurons.
  • Maintain and organize experiment records and relevant documentation in electronic format.
  • Compile experimental data and present scientific results at the 2024 Intern Poster Day.
