Requirements

  • Required Education:
  • Completed bachelor's degree and pursuing in a PHD program
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous hands-on research experience in cell biology/biochemistry/molecular biology lab environment
  • Knowledge in cancer biology or immunology
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

  • Required majors:
  • Major in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, immunology or related fields.
  • Required skills:
  • Tissue Culture
  • Preferred skills:
  • Flow Cytometry, Incucyte, and/or Cell Imaging

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will work directly with a scientist to complete a lab-based project and gain critical knowledge of the core techniques and biological assays necessary for successful target identification/validation
  • Perform biological assays including but not limited to cell engineering/cell culture, flow cytometry, western blots, cytokine arrays, incucyte and/or multi-omics platform to elucidate mechanisms of myeloid cell activation
  • Present research findings in oral and/or written format for discussions in internal meetings
  • Keep accurate and timely records of research findings via electronic notebook
  • Participate in Genentech internship program events and activities
