Requirements

  • Required Education:
  • Must be pursuing a PhD in Chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry or related field
  • Must have attained a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Required Majors:
  • Chemistry, organic chemistry, or biochemistry
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Prior synthetic organic chemistry research experience with knowledge of compound purification and identification (column chromatography, extractions, recrystallizations, NMR and mass spectrometry).
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, conduct and analyze organic chemistry experiments (reaction set-up, reaction work-up, purification and compound characterization).
  • Independently perform reaction optimization.
  • Maintain a thorough recording of experimental procedures using electronic notebook software.
