Requirements

  • Required Education: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate (Bachelor’s) or graduate program (Master’s or PhD).
  • Preferred Majors: Systems biology, Computational biology, Computer science, Cell/Molecular/Cancer Biology or related disciplines.
  • Experience:
  • Hands-on experience with analyzing NGS data (RNAseq, ATACseq, Hi-ChIP, Hi-C), including downstream computational analysis
  • Familiarity with a high-level programming language such as R or Python
  • Familiarity with image processing is preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Process and analyze NGS, microscopy, screening data and interpret the results in the context of the scientific goal.
  • Shadow scientists in the lab learn how the data is collected and have the opportunity to perform experiments to follow up or validate computational results.
  • Develop oral and/or written dissemination of findings for discussions with internal/external collaborators, meetings and journal articles.
  • Keep accurate and timely records of research findings and progress.
