Requirements

  • Required Education:
  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree, focused in Biochemistry, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or other related field
  • Will have completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework at an accredited college/university.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university during the program calendar year 2024.
  • Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
  • Expertise working with Python, R, and Linux/Unix (bash) is strongly preferred
  • Completed at least one full year of research experience is strongly preferred
  • Effective analytical, communication, and presentation skill

Responsibilities

  • Design and execution of sequencing experiments utilizing Roche's nanopore sequencing platform
  • Both wet and dry laboratory work performed using industry-standard practices, including maintenance of a well-organized and concise record of work performed and progress made
  • Formulation and QC of sequencing reagents according to both experimental and established SOPs
  • Library preparation, target enrichment, and sequencing preparation for a variety of sample types
  • Deep-dive analysis of experimental data using various quantitative and qualitative methods, with regular presentation of findings at internal meetings
