Requirements

  • MUST be currently enrolled in a U.S. Undergraduate and/or Graduate Degree Program and not graduating prior to the completion of the Ionis internship
  • MUST be able to begin internship between 6/11/2024 and 6/17/2024
  • MUST be able and willing to remain in program through at least 8/16/2024
  • MUST be able and willing to commit to a minimum 40-hour work week
  • Add information if your project will be either remote or onsite
  • MUST be able and willing to commit to a minimum 40-hour work week and work onsite in Carlsbad, CA

Responsibilities

  • We are looking for a summer intern to assist in our neurology research efforts. The intern project will focus on modulating the activity of antisense oligonucleotides in the central nervous system following intracerebroventricular (ICV) injection. In addition to learning about ASO technology and the drug discovery process, the student will acquire a variety of technical skills including mouse handling, intracerebroventricular (ICV) injections, CNS tissue collection, RNA extraction, RT-qPCR, and western blotting.
