The candidate must be a PhD student in Engineering, Mathematics, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field, with experience in modeling and simulation. They must be proficient in MATLAB programming and have expertise in constructing ODE-based models. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and in teams are also required. Knowledge in biology and pharmacology, as well as experience with SimBiology toolbox, would be preferred.

The candidate will be responsible for developing an automated and standardized methodology for generating virtual populations in the Modeling & Simulation Group at Genentech using MATLAB and associated toolboxes. They will also be expected to give a formal presentation and organize research documents at the end of the program.
