Requirements

  • Required Education:
  • Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student) in Engineering, Mathematics, Pharmaceutical Sciences or other related discipline.
  • Modeling and simulation experience is required.
  • Required skills:
  • Rich (3+ years) hands-on experience with MATLAB programming. Proficiency in MATLAB programming is required.
  • Strong expertise in modeling and simulation skills (systems biology and/or pharmacology models)
  • Have hands-on research project experience in constructing ODE-based models and solving ODE system equations
  • The candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and effectively in teams.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experiences with SimBiology toolbox.
  • Knowledge in biology and pharmacology, in vitro and in vivo experimental approaches to support drug development are highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Development of the automation and standardization of the digital twin virtual population generation methodology
  • The models will be primarily implemented in MATLAB (SimBiology toolbox) and associated toolboxes (e.g, Global optimization, Parallel Computing toolboxes..
  • Proficiency in MATLAB is required..
  • At the end of the program, the summer intern is expected to give a formal presentation and organize key research documents for archiving.
