  • Candidates with research and data analysis experience.
  • Candidates with experience in experimental techniques, such as: western blots, cytometry, imaging, immunoassays, sequencing.
  • Candidates who have demonstrated competence in languages such as R or Python for bioinformatics analyses.
  • Candidates with the ability to present results, both verbally and in writing, to a scientific audience.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will join our dynamic team and support clinical trial efforts that advance personalized healthcare in respiratory diseases, with a focus on asthma, cough, COPD and/or ARDS. The candidate will lead efforts on doing a deep-dive search into biomarkers relevant to our respiratory programs which will culminate into a literature review fit for publication. The candidate will also be lab-based, developing, optimizing and running quantitative assays to measure protein and/or transcripts in different sample matrices. Additionally, the candidate will lead data analysis efforts for internal studies and/or external collaborations relating to respiratory biomarkers and clinical data. Success in these responsibilities requires an understanding of disease and drug target biology, creativity and attention to detail, and experience in integrating biomarkers into clinical trials. Candidates with experience in clinical research, assay development, scientific writing, statistics, bioinformatics, and biomarker analysis will be given preference. A successful candidate will work with interdisciplinary teams including discovery research, biomarker, clinical, biostatistics, and bioinformatics scientists, and will carry out data analysis and integration across various domains. Success critically depends on an ability to effectively synthesize and summarize scientific literature, as well as present complex techniques and results in a clear and concise manner to a diverse audience of scientists. Publication of a scientific paper and/or review is an important component of this position.
