Requirements

  • Required Education:
  • Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree
  • Must be pursuing a Master's or a PhD Degree (enrolled student) in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Bioscience, or other related fields
  • Required skills:
  • Molecular biology lab experience, particularly with polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Proficiency with DNA modifying enzymes for cloning technologies and hands-on experience with cell cultures are advantageous.
  • Essential understanding of sequencing technologies. Experimental knowledge in NGS, long-read sequencing, or single-cell RNA-seq will be considered a plus.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, including generating charts and graphs. Experience with Linux, Python, or R programming languages will be considered a plus.
  • Strong collaboration, communication and presentation skills, including the ability to create compelling slide deck presentations.
  • Other Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with DNA/RNA sequencing procedures, including library preparation and quality control, sequencer operation, and data analysis using one or multiple tools such as IGV, BaseSpace, Samtools, Pysam, seqtk, Cell Ranger, Scanpy, Seurat, and Linux command line.
  • Acquaintance with one or multiple single-cell RNA-seq methods, such as Smart-seq2/3, droplet-based platforms, and combinatorial indexing platforms.
  • An understanding of immunology, especially with regard to T cell and B cell receptors.
