Requirements

  • Pursuing undergraduate degree, preferably in Actuarial Science or Mathematics.
  • Passed at least one actuarial exam
  • Experience:
  • Actuarial Science background
  • Understanding of statistical and mathematical concepts
  • Competent in qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Strong PC skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all projects that inform inforce analytics in a timely manner as assigned by manager.
  • Actively participate in team meetings.
  • Prepare standardized project related reports and PowerPoint presentations to communicate project status, issues, successes, etc.
  • Collaborate with various key stakeholders such as Finance and Legal.
  • Assist team in completing ad hoc requests.
  • Attend ONE (Onboarding of New Employee) session.
  • Attend abbreviated NEO (New Employee Orientation) program.
  • Work with Manager and Intern Buddy to ensure that all expectations and goals are being met. Ask questions as needed.
  • Comply with all SCOR policies and procedures.
  • Complete Reinsurance Industry Overview training (“Reinsurance Basics” courses provided by LOMA). Training is offered online.
  • Make Final Presentation during Program Wrap-Up.
  • Provide feedback on the program and offer suggestions for improvement.
