Requirements

  • Analytical Chemistry and/or Instrumental Analysis coursework with experience on polymer and raw material characterization with basic understanding on how material properties impact process, performance, and safety.
  • Hands-on experience and training with GC/MS, HPLC, NMR, FTIR, Headspace GC, LC-QTOF, instrument troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ideally someone with mass spectrometry experience, in particular HPLC-QToF/ or other high resolution mass spectrometer for analysis of volatile, semi-volatile and non-volatile organic Extractables & Leachable samples.
  • Knowledgeable of analytical techniques and instrumentation for polymers and composites, able to elucidate polymer structure-properties relationship and process impact.
  • Understands polymer characterization and can run MDSC, TGA, TMA, Rheometers, Viscometers and Instron.
  • Education and Experience:
  • Typically requires a completed Bachelors degree and actively enrolled Masters, JD, or PhD students with a minimum of 0-2 years related experience.

Responsibilities

  • You will conduct physical and chemical characterization of raw materials and finished goods in accordance with procedures using applicable standards and good scientific practice.
  • ​Assist in test method development and test method validation activities
  • ​Maintain accurate and up-to-date lab records, notebooks, and other documentation.
  • ​Work as a member of the Team to complete all required tasks according to schedule.
  • ​Understand and apply basic laboratory safety protocols, chemical hygiene, and dispose chemical waste according to Dexcom and local EHS regulations​
  • Follow GLP guidelines and comply to all quality and safety requirements.
