Requirements

  • Basic skills associated with the utilization of technology as a design tool.
  • Ability to hand sketch and communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting.
  • Familiarity with digital modeling software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, or Rhino is preferred.
  • Experience with digital graphic tools such as Enscape, Lumion, Sketch-up, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Education and Experience:
  • Working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree of Architecture or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct basic interpretations of sketches, drawings, models, codes, building program, and other similar material.
  • Support and assist project teams in the development a project’s design, documentation, and administration during all phases of the project.
  • Assist in the development of a design through sketches, physical models, digital models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats.
  • Utilize BIM to develop three-dimensional building models and utilize it as a tool in the production of construction documents.
  • Participate in internal project reviews and critiques.
  • Participate in project coordination and meetings with internal team members, external consultants, and/or clients.
  • Assist with the implementation of sustainable design principles into the building design and surrounding environment.
  • Assist in research of design concepts, benchmarks, materials, typologies, and precedents.
