The role involves supporting Midwives, nurses, nursery nurses, and Doctors in providing care to women and babies during the ante-natal, delivery, and postnatal periods.

What qualifications do I need to apply for this apprenticeship?

You must be 18 years old or over, have the right to work in the UK, and have been a permanent resident in the UK for the past 3 years. If you already hold a Level 3 qualification in Senior Health Care Support Worker (Maternity Support), you are not eligible to apply.

Is previous experience required for this role?

Ideally, candidates should have some previous experience in the care or customer service industry.

Where will the apprenticeship training take place?

The apprenticeship training will take place alongside your work in various clinical areas of the maternity unit, including antenatal clinics, maternity theatres, inpatient ward areas, and the labour ward.
