Requirements

  • Pursuing a graduate or PhD degree in physics, chemistry, electrical engineering or a related field
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Advanced Research achievements in scientific papers and patents on related topics
  • Advanced understanding of fundamentals in multi-physics phenomenon (e.g., Newman model, Surrogate, Reduced order models, Equivalent circuits, COMSOL or similar tools)
  • Experience with a wide range of Machine Learning and Statistical Modeling algorithms/techniques
  • Expertise with Python / hands on experience with machine learning frameworks like Tensor Flow, and Python packages for Data Sciences such as Pandas, Scipy, Numpy etc / Matlab
  • Attention to detail, flexibility, creativity, and excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A strong passion for empirical research and for answering hard questions with data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill

  • Solid foundations in electrochemistry, battery modeling

Responsibilities

  • Develop multi-physics & reduced order or surrogate models to simulate electrochemical systems
  • Interface with computational and experimental researchers to develop multi-physics models
  • Conduct extensive descriptive analytics on collected data
  • Analyze, summarize and present research findings and results through presentations, reports/documents and publications
