Requirements

  • Basic programming knowledge through coursework or projects
  • Must enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary team comprising of hardware, software, algorithm, and biomedical engineers
  • Must be willing and enthusiastic to learn new concepts and methods related to data analysis and physiology
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Basic data analysis knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of physiology or clinical data
  • Good technical communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Analyze multi-parametric physiological waveform data from patients and perform exploratory investigation to identify trends and patterns related to human physiology that can inform product design and testing.
  • Use statistical and programming techniques to measure and compare the performance of vital sign monitoring algorithms in different applications.
  • Assist in testing and verifying the functionality and performance of vital sign monitoring software and hardware prototypes against industrial standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct clinical usability research on vital sign monitoring solutions and provide feedback and recommendations for product requirement design.
  • Working with a multi-disciplinary team to help advance current healthcare systems projects.
