Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to interact with people at all levels in the organisation
  • Ability to work on your own initiate to drive improvements and projects
  • Use of Power BI software is preferred but not essential as training will be available
  • Ability to demonstrate qualities aligned with GSK Culture.
  • Education required: To apply for this placement, you must be:
  • Currently studying an Undergraduate degree in, Business or Business-related subject, Engineering (accredited), Maths, Science, or a related subject.
  • Other requirements: You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement. You must be enrolled at a UK (United Kingdom) or ROI (Republic of Ireland) university for the duration of your placement.
  • If you have already graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree and are currently studying a postgraduate Masters, you are not eligible for this programme.
  • Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

Responsibilities

  • You will learn how to manage a project and work with a team effectively to deliver a successful outcome. The role ranges from learning about manufacturing to gaining knowledge surrounding the ‘people’ side of business and to supporting infrastructure projects and supporting business functions.
  • You will be applying the skills you already have learnt at university and developing new skills such as team working, effective communication and time management. You will work with and learn from an experienced, multi-disciplined team. They will coach and mentor you during your year to help you achieve your potential.
  • The successful candidates will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of business functions and infrastructure projects, addressing areas such as developing guidelines for complementary workers and associated training, building intranet sites and supporting sustainability projects. You will develop project and time management skills. You will have the opportunity to connect with people at high levels in the organisation and have an exposure to external suppliers.
