Requirements

  • Undergraduate students will need to maintain a 2.0 GPA or above throughout the internship.
  • Preferred Areas of Study:
  • Enrolled in an accredited certificate, 2-year or 4-year program during their internship.
  • Enrolled in an academic program in Engineering Technology or related field.
  • You will be successful if you have the following experience, skills, and abilities:
  • Are a junior or senior student at the start of the internship.
  • AutoCAD drafting experience
  • Technical experience with computers and design software.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and plotting using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Archiving project files using Meridian document management system.
  • Drafting redlines from a construction project to create Record drawings.
  • Scanning and plotting on a large format plotters.
  • Review scanned documents for QA/QC with originals, organizing scanned documents in the network folders based on the procedures/directions from Mentors.
  • Evaluating unscanned documents and preparing them to send out for scanning, tracking and organizing.
  • Travelling to project sites with Mentor(s) in conjunction with project responsibilities.
