Requirements

  • We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy being challenged and embrace opportunities. Our core values are at the heart of everything we do and it is important that you identify with them.
  • We are looking for students who are:
  • In their penultimate year of their undergraduate degree (graduating in 2025). Note: 4th year MEng students are eligible to apply for our Engineering internships.
  • Available to work in our Westhill office, situated just outside Aberdeen, during the summer months (June to end of August)
  • Able to exhibit strong communication skills, attention to detail, an excellent work ethic, a curiosity to learn and basic familiarity with Microsoft applications
  • Please note these vacancies are not eligible for company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Emissions reduction and energy efficiency is a priority for TotalEnergies. Working within the Northern North Sea Carbon Footprint Reduction (CFR) team, you’ll provide support to deliver ideas that have a real impact on emissions reduction. We are looking for a candidate studying for a degree in chemical/process or renewable energy engineering that is organised, self-driven and creative. You must be able to work both autonomously but also as part of a team. There are plenty of CFR opportunities within this mature asset that you will be involved in screening and progressing. You should therefore have an inquisitive and practical mindset and not be afraid to challenge the ‘norm’. In return we’ll give you real responsibilities and targets to achieve from day one with all the support and guidance you need.
  • Some of the activities you will be involved in will include:
  • Lead an operational CFR project that will improve our site GHG emissions. You’ll be responsible for defining the scope, setting up trials, analysing the results and feeding back the results and recommendations to the asset.
  • Find ways to effectively communicate to the wider business to maintain the awareness and focus on GHG emissions and CFR projects.
  • Contribute to the budget forecasting of emissions for 2025.

Application Process

  • We will review all applications in February.
  • Shortlisted candidates will receive invites to assessment centres in March.
  • Assessments will take place towards the end of March.
