Requirements

  • Basic understanding of electrical engineering design principles.
  • Expert understanding of AutoCAD for 2-D drawings. (Preferred, not required)
  • Basic understanding of electrical engineering and architectural details as used in building plan sets.
  • Ability to read/create an electrical single line diagram.
  • Ability to understand existing installations and recreate plan set and as-built drawings as necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter.
  • Additional comments:
  • Undergraduate junior or higher student working toward a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management
  • Emphasis or minor in electrical design highly desired
  • Graduate level class standing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with team members to design fuel cell based microgrids to improve customer power resiliency.
  • Develop installation drawings packages for new fuel cell installation projects. This includes AutoCAD drafting and working with the drafting team to update the installation drawings as the design progresses.
  • Create wiring diagrams to ensure the fuel cell system will behave as expected on site.
  • Support template updates to improve accuracy for future projects.
