Requirements

  • Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering
  • Maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0
  • Available to start in May 2024 and work to mid-August 2024.
  • Ability to travel throughout Orlando area (own transportation)
  • Work in a team environment
  • Strong written, verbal, computer and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Work with a variety of clients including private developers, municipal, county, and FDOT to complete roadway, stormwater, underground utility, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Assist senior engineers with the evaluation, study, and design of drainage systems.
  • Assist with preparing land development plans, including stormwater management, site grading, underground utilities, transportation impacts, and compliance with local requirements.
  • Field work, studies and design of water and wastewater system rehabilitation.
  • Water and wastewater systems hydraulic modeling computation and analysis.
  • Work independently on a variety of tasks including CAD, Drainage Design, Quantity Computation, Traffic Analysis, and Data Collection
