Requirements

  • University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:
  • University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program in the Fall.
  • Internship Work Period: Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting May or June. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process.
  • Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
  • Current enrollment in an Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, or related) degree-seeking program at the undergraduate, Masters or PhD level.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in anatomy, physiology, and/or surgery
  • Analytical capability and practical skills to develop and test theses and draw succinct conclusions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable with presentation of technical content
  • Self-starter and able to work in a collaborative and results oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Conducting background research
  • Creating and refining clinical test scenarios and models
  • Hands-on laboratory work to evaluate surgical performance of devices
  • Documentation, analysis, and synthesis of test results
