The candidate must be a full-time university student with an anticipated graduation date on or before 2024, have authorization to work in the US, and possess knowledge or experience in Google Cloud, Kubernetes, SQL, Python, BASH, Terraform, and Dashboarding tools.

The Cloud Platform Engineer Intern at Verily will work on analyzing and optimizing cloud spend, improving operability and usability of cloud systems, developing spend dashboards, and integrating Google Cloud services with management systems using Terraform templates and scripts.

<ul><li>Verily’s&nbsp;internship&nbsp;is a paid 13 week program for rising seniors, either undergraduate&nbsp;or&nbsp;graduate&nbsp;students, who are interested in working at the intersection of technology, data science and healthcare. The program is designed for all students, and again this year we encourage students who have been historically underrepresented in this field to explore the program, which is a pathway towards&nbsp;full-time&nbsp;employment within Verily. This includes but is not limited to: Black/African-American, Latinx/Hispanic, Native American, students with disabilities, veterans, and non-binary people.</li><li>The Production Engineering and Cloud Operations team is responsible for enabling Verily engineers to optimize their use of public cloud, documenting best practices and building foundational capabilities for production operations. We are helping Verily engineers move to an automated cloud infrastructure provisioning platform, using Terraform, Atlantis, Github, Jira, and a wide range of Google Cloud tools.&nbsp;</li><li>In this&nbsp;internship&nbsp;you will help us build capabilities into our new platform for managing configuration drift, enforcing policy, and developing sample applications that showcase our best practices around provisioning infrastructure, building, deploying and monitoring software.
