Requirements

  • Must be able to come into our LA office for 3 full 8-hour days between Monday-Friday.
  • Top qualification is to be curious about the world

  • You're a great writer
  • You're a skilled self-taught video editor
  • You're a voracious consumer of world events
  • If you're full of ideas about current events, we'd like to hear from you
  • If you are willing to wake up in the morning and be ready for the complete unexpected by the end of the day, then you'll fit right in
  • Must be actively enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
  • Must be a rising Junior, Senior or Graduate Student (18 years or older)
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)
  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Our Los Angeles based team consists of some of the most experienced news veterans in the business. And every single one of them remembers how they all got their start, and who was able to help them figure out how the job is done.
  • This internship offers a chance to experience the day to day of the extreme unpredictability of the news cycle.
  • Some days will be intense with developing news and we'll send you out the door to meet a field team covering an event.
  • Other days, you'll be digging in to find the right people to interview so you can craft and write for our digital homepage.
  • You will see how our craft editors put it all together - and get to work with them in the edit room as they assemble a story that is needed immediately.
  • You'll have a front row seat to witness the chaos of a newsroom, and be part of the final product that airs on tv or is distributed on all our digital and social media platforms.
