Responsibilities

  • Assist the Corporate Audit team in completing control testing related to the Model Audit Rule (MAR) issued by the NAIC. MAR imposes requirements similar to provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
  • Assist the team in facilitating the MAR effort. This includes coordinating with auditees to obtain testing support and address follow up questions, performing detail testing of key controls, providing status updates on key control testing, and communicating testing results to management.
  • Assist the team in performing traditional internal audits. Such activity may include, reviewing and summarizing information provided by auditees, performing testing of processes performed by auditees, meeting and corresponding with auditees, assisting the audit team with the administration and maintenance of audit work.
