Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements:
  • Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or similar discipline and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Part of an SH&E related program at school.
  • Experience working for a large general contractor.
  • Previous relevant internship experience.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and Outlook), as well as exposure to other construction-based computer programs.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.
  • Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.
  • Meets required schedules while producing quality work.
  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.
  • Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
