Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a related degree program such as Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Process Improvement, and/or similar programs. The internship position will be located in Atlanta, GA Cox Automotive does not provide a housing allowance.
  • Preferred:
  • Microsoft Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint experience Experience conducting and leading data analysis. Experience working with reporting tools and datasets. Facilitation skills – small groups driving for results.
  • Teamwork, communication, presentation and time management skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Our Lean Practices team is accountable for simplifying the business and improving the client and employee experience through data driven problem solving. We work across the business to create sustainable business processes and solutions. We have an opportunity within our Lean Practices groups for an enthusiastic individual who is willing to learn new skills, hone existing skills, and deliver real world organizational benefits and improvements.

Having an awareness for the unexpected, focus on turning unforeseen events into positive outcomes, and striving to create processes and programs worthy of being carried on by others in support of the enterprise. We operate at all levels from front line to senior executives and manage a wide variety of projects across our portfolio.
  • Projects/Assignments may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Drive business efficiencies, improve quality, and propel improved internal customer interactions on a project basis using data driven problem solving and standard methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, Human Centered Design, etc.). Assist in delivering and continuously refining Lean Practices strategic plan Provide continuous improvement of client and business outcomes by developing team member and process capabilities to adjust quickly and effectively, at enterprise scale. Document as-is, current-state, and map-out future state business processes to guide continuous improvement work. Build-out and publish current-state processes and or design new business process. Assist in the delivery of process improvement and automation opportunities to drive a continuous improvement model.
