Requirements

  • Must be at least a junior or senior working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical or Business field from an accredited institution
  • Must be currently enrolled at the Ohio State University
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and handle multiple tasks
  • Strong-interpersonal skills and self-motivated
  • Knowledge of general procurement processes or business principles
  • Experience with the software included in the Microsoft Office Suite is preferred, particularly word processing, spreadsheets and database programs

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Captial Projects Contract team with day-to-day sourcing and contracting functions for both the development of Request for Proposals (RFP) and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and the contracting activities post-award
  • Support with contract management activities including review of supplier invoices and change orders, generate / review redline documents, participate in preparing bid evaluations for review with stakeholders
  • Coordinate and communicate with project teams and external stakeholders during the initial review, negotiation and finalization of competitive solicitations
  • Assist with updating and organizing contract tracking files for various types of contracts.
  • Conduct market research for labor and materials
  • Assist with development of contracting process & quality improvement initiatives
  • Assist with administration and special initiatives, as assigned
