Requirements

  • A current 2nd, 3rd or penultimate year undergraduate University of Edinburgh student
  • Strong conceptual and creative thinking skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience of creating content through design packages such as Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop or Illustrator (or similar).
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good organisational skills
  • Experience of researching and collating information
  • Desirable:
  • An interest in careers within the creative and/or cultural industries.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct an internal audit of the materials we currently have on working within the creative and cultural sector (15%)
  • Align these resources according to the appropriate sections of the Careers Compass and curate materials for an online resource (20%)
  • Identify any gaps in content and find/create content appropriately (15%)
  • Utilise strong design and/or digital skills to create a visually appealing online resource. This resource should contain creative industries specific information, advice and resources for each section of the Careers Compass. (40%)
  • Liaise with members of the Careers Service and industry contacts as appropriate. (10%)
