Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrate analytic skills with strong proficiency in Excel
  • Experienced with presentation software and have working knowledge of PowerPoint, Keynote
  • Proven ability to successfully prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Must be able to work under pressure and within quick timelines. 
  • Excellent note-taking skills, within meetings, to find the key points of the conversation and capture after-action responsibilities.
  • Well-developed writing and grammatical skills; including copywriting and proofreading ability
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • High sense of responsibility and confidentiality
  • Fast learner with a genuine interest in the Walt Disney Company history including films, animation, television, and theme parks as well as knowledge of the marketing function of D23.
  •   It would be nice if you also have…
  • Previous experience working on website and digital marketing projects; relationship management and integration; and posting and writing in the voice/tone of an organization
  • Proven campaign and event planning experience
  • Experience with WordPress or other CMS
  • Required Education:  
  • Currently pursuing, or a recent graduate with a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a closely related field
  • Internship Eligibility:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at the time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Internship Program
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) Disney College Programs or Disney Internship Programs
  • Additional Information:
  • The approximate dates of this internship are January 2024 – June 2024
  • Candidate must be available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship. Hours outside of these timeframes may be required based on business needs
  • Must be able to provide own housing and reliable transportation in the Glendale, CA area. Also requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace

Responsibilities

  • Management of Marketing calendar and meeting facilitation
  • Coordinating the creation of marketing assets for various campaigns, working with Marketing, Editorial, Social, and Graphics teams
  • Trafficking assets, managing spreadsheets and tracking all aspects of D23 promotional campaigns
  • Preparing Keynote campaign recap presentations that include performance metrics, key learnings & actionable recommendations and, presenting these to the leadership team
  • Writing and proofreading copy for D23.com posts, D23 emails, and other marketing initiatives
  • Supporting the synergy lead on all cross-promotional opportunities with internal Disney partners
  • Contributing ideas for content to be used with digital and social channels associated with D23
  • Assisting with other marketing responsibilities as needed by members of the D23 Marketing team
  • Building and fostering relationships across D23 and other TWDC teams
