Requirements

  • Entering Junior Year (completed freshman and sophomore year) or higher Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar degree program.
  • A strong interest in applied data analytics / AI.
  • Experience and course work in data analytics / AI with preference to those with experience using Altair AI Studio (formerly RapidMiner Studio), python coding using PyTorch DL frameworks and/or LLMs e.g. ollama, docker/kubernetes, and/or other similar technologies.
  • Self-driven, gritty, persistent, and passionate work ethic that will not give up until the problem is solved.
  • Strong attention to details in technical design, technical implementation, and English writing.

Responsibilities

  • Primary Responsibility: Assist in the development of manufacturing engineering solutions for real-world problems using data analytics / AI including edge compute, image + audio inferencing, and deep learning / GenAI modeling.
  • Attend live training classes and take e-learning courses for select Altair data analytics / AI applications.
  • Attain a deeper understanding of data analytics / AI tools by applying them to real customer use cases.
  • Attend customer facing meetings to learn about real world engineering challenges and business drivers
  • Learn to align customer challenges with Altair Solutions
  • Troubleshooting customer and reseller support issues.
