Requirements

Ability to report to our Austin office at least 4-days a week for the duration of the internship
Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and familiarity with SQL
Knowledge of statistical methods and experience with machine learning algorithms
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Sigma) is a plus
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
Understanding of how to work with databases (Snowflake preferred)
Eagerness to learn and contribute to the team’s success
Education and Experience:
Graduate or Undergraduate student in Computer Science or Engineering
GPA of 3.0 or higher

Responsibilities

You will work closely with our operations teams to analyze data and come up with new reports that aid in the decision-making process. We are looking for curious minded people that will ask questions and work with multiple departments to find cost saving or optimization opportunities. You will conduct bi-weekly presentations to leadership, showcasing findings, insights, and recommendations.
Project activities will involve the following:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and identify areas where data analysis can add value
Collect and clean data from various sources to ensure its accuracy and completeness
Apply statistical methods and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets
Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to uncover business insights
Develop and present reports and visualizations to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Propose innovative solutions and strategies based on data analysis to improve business processes
Participate in the design and implementation of data-driven projects
