Requirements

  • Be excited about analysing data and eager to improve
  • Be progressing through the 3rd year of a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, data science, actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, physics, economics or equivalent quantitative methods
  • Have experience using Python, R or similar software package. (includes undergraduate experience)
  • Have basic experience data pre-processing, creating insights and modelling
  • Have basic knowledge of statistical analysis methodologies such as GLMs, Decision Trees, PCA
  • Demonstrate good attention to detail and confidence in work produced and have ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Providing analysis on insurance and policy data on projects to create valuable insights for internal and external stakeholders
  • Working closely with your mentor to improve your coding/analytic skills, domain knowledge and gain knowledge of our current processes
  • Applying statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms where appropriate
  • Presenting analysis and findings through reports, presentations or dashboards to the team and product managers
