Requirements

  • Interest in real estate
  • Working knowledge of real estate fundamentals
  • Available to work in person from mid-May to mid-August (approx. 12 weeks) from 9:00 am-5:30 pm, Monday through Friday
  • Ability to present findings to senior leadership
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and collaboration skills
  • Objective thinking skills
  • Have an aptitude for learning and be comfortable working in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to communicate and work with different departments throughout Berkshire
  • Technical/ Educational Requirements:
  • Current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate or Accounting with an anticipated graduation date in 2024 or 2025
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook or similar programs

Responsibilities

  • Assist with analyzing loan opportunity and making a presentation on the strengths and risks of the deal
  • Review and synthesize property financial statements
  • Assist with reconciliation of data across multiple channels
  • Participate in calls when necessary.
  • At the end of the summer, the intern will prepare and deliver a presentation to Berkshire’s Senior Leadership Team summarizing their work with Berkshire, the insights they gained through their internship experience, and recommended process enhancements
