Requirements

  • University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:
  • University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program in the Fall.
  • Internship Work Period: Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting May or June. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process.
  • Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
  • Currently enrolled in a Computer science, Electrical engineering, Math science, or similar degree at the Bachelor's level
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash or Ruby
  • Strong knowledge of Linux - CentOS, Ubuntu, Windows
  • Experience with Nginx, Kubernetes,
  • Infrastructure as Code - Terraform, Ansible, Git, Puppet
  • Knowledge of building docker containers
  • Working knowledge of Load Balancers, FW and networking
  • Exposure to Public Cloud Platforms – AWS (Preferred), GCP, Azure

Responsibilities

  • Using python/bash create application-specific monitors in Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk-on-call etc.
  • Using python/bash create automation and monitoring scripts
  • Develop and deploy automation pipelines for serverless apps
  • Implement DevOps practice by creating Jenkins/Gitlab pipeline for Docker builds
  • CI/CD approval framework - script to create and populate a change request in ServiceNow/JIRA
