Requirements

  • Understanding of archival best practices
  • Ability to learn and navigate database systems
  • Attention to detail and good organization skills
  • Willingness to collaborate with Rock Hall staff from across divisions
  • Microsoft office suite (specifically Excel)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Preferred Experiences:
  • Experience using asset or collections management software
  • Experience working with audio-visual materials
  • Ability to conduct independent research
  • Familiarity with rock & roll and related music genres
  • Intern applicants must be currently enrolled in a college (preference might go to a candidate currently in a graduate program.)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with legacy asset migration and organization
  • Increase the discovery of assets by enhancing descriptive metadata
  • Run machine learning services in Microsoft Azure to support transcription and tagging of assets
  • Attend meetings and collaborative discussions
  • Possible Projects:
  • Work with staff across divisions on ingesting department records and associated metadata
  • Connect assets between our DAMS and Collections Management System
  • Data clean-up on assets pertaining to the Rock Hall’s Induction Ceremonies
