  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools (Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, etc.).
  • Education:
  • Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field of study.
  • Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
  • Must be currently enrolled as a junior or higher in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship (Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Entertainment Television Finance and Business Planning Internship:
  • This opportunity represents the operating planning and Analysis teams for Disney Television Studios (ABC Signature and Twentieth Television production studios combined) and ABC Entertainment. They build long-range planning forecasts and their corresponding annual operating plans. They plan billions of dollars worth of content acquisition while partnering and negotiating with our partners to price out schedules. Simultaneously, they support the financial planning for studio overhead and forecasting costs.
  • FX Finance and Strategy Internship:
  • The FX Finance and Strategy group supports FX’s executives in making content production and licensing decisions. Our work directly impacts the content on air, streaming on Hulu and Disney+, and in the development pipeline. We operate right at the intersection of the creative and business aspects of crafting the fearless, thought-provoking series that define FX.
  • Disney Entertainment and ESPN Technology Operations Internship:
  • Would you like to be a part of a team that is redefining The Walt Disney Company? Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is building our future and the Tech Finance group manages the budget related to growing and sustaining the technology that supports content offerings through streaming and linear services. We partner and strategize with technology teams to implement change, products, platforms, and advancements.
  • Segment Consolidation Internship:
  • The team is responsible for consolidating the financial results of our direct-to-consumer, networks, content sales, and licensing organizations, and supports the day-to-day planning of the segment’s central administration costs. We analyze financial results to determine drivers of change, assist in headcount planning, and recommend areas for operational improvement.
  • Finance Transformation Internship:
  • The transformation team is focused on data, process, and systems initiatives to enable finance teams to spend more time on analysis and storytelling and less time crunching numbers. We’re a small but mighty team that has a deep understanding of how finance and Disney operate. We heavily partner with finance teams across multiple functions to understand, develop, and implement solutions to complex issues. With multiple projects ongoing, no day is ever the same as part of this team.
  • Content Planning Internship:
  • This team coordinates billions in new investments each year for premium movies and television series that are the key to attracting and retaining subscribers. The team’s responsibilities and accomplishments have contributed to rapid growth and success. Exposure to the analysis of new movie and TV series slates, and budgeting for programming amortization across the portfolio of new and existing content is guaranteed in this role!
  • Disney Entertainment Subscriber Forecasting Internship:
  • We support business growth by driving an integrated understanding of our subscriber profitability and customer lifecycle. We identify some of the business’ key issues by providing subscriber visibility and help provide solutions by partnering with cross-functional teams to evaluate central initiatives. This is inclusive of modeling subscriber growth, developing and tracking KPIs to drive execution and operational improvement, identifying new business and product opportunities, assessing partnerships and deal structures, and more.
