Requirements

  • The Summer Electrical Engineering Intern candidate will preferably have the following qualifications:
  • Rising Junior or Senior, Target graduation of 2025 or 2026
  • Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Degree
  • Strong Academic Credentials
  • Courses in Basic Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Embedded Software a plus
  • Basic CAD & Drafting
  • An active participant on a team or in a collaborative environment
  • Strong Project Management/Organizational Skills.
  • All applicants must be based in and/or able to commute to internship location

Responsibilities

  • During your internship you will have the opportunity to support Electrical Engineering at Stanley Black & Decker with key activities including
  • Performing Electrical Engineering design and testing tasks for new product development and cost reduction projects.
  • Help prototype electronic and/or mechatronic product concepts related to power tools and related fields, battery and cell studies, wireless connectivity, and jobsite power
  • Prepare possible solutions along with decision matrix to assist in choosing technical direction
  • Design and construct prototype
  • Creating bill of materials and preliminary cost analysis
  • Present results to supervisor and Innovation / Technology leadership
  • You will have exposure to several areas of Electrical Engineering at Stanley Black & Decker and will work on a wide variety of tasks and projects with a cross-functional team of professionals including Outdoor Product Group, Hand Tools & Storage and Power Tools Grou
