Requirements

  • Requires enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at a recognized college or university; Junior or Senior year with a 3.00 GPA or above (in major)
  • The ability to understand new concepts and apply them accurately and follow general and detailed instructions as well as organizational policies and procedures.
  • Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective interface with internal professionals.
  • The ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Course work focus in Power Electronics and Power Systems is desired.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio is desired.
  • Experience with CubeSat Lab, Photonics, Mechatronics, or Power Engineering Society is a plus.
  • Experience with MATLAB, PSPICE, software development kits, schematic capture, and circuit board design is a plus.
  • Must commit to at least a ten-week summer internship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers in engineering design and development, including hardware and circuit design, electronics testing and troubleshooting, and controls development.
  • Participate in day-to-day engineering activities assisting in the completion of non-routine and advanced tasks.
  • Assist in applying knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve non-routine engineering problems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
