What are the required qualifications for this internship?
Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electronics Technology, or similar technical areas, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and be registered for 6+ credit hours.
How many hours per week will the intern be expected to work?
The intern will be expected to work 20 hours per week.
Is there a citizenship requirement for this position?
Yes, candidates must be U.S. Citizens due to research contracts with the U.S. federal government.
Will housing and relocation assistance be provided for the internship?
No, housing and relocation assistance are not available for this position.
Are there preferred qualifications for this position?
Yes, preferred qualifications include task/team leadership experience, the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly, strong math skills, experience with electronics hardware assembly and laboratory equipment, proficiency in one or more programming languages, experience in the use of configuration management tools, and a Secret Clearance.
What type of tasks will the intern be involved in?
The intern will work on activities such as software development testing and validation, electronic hardware development, cybersecurity analysis, object-oriented and web development, and electronic attack system development and testing.
Is there a possibility of obtaining a security clearance?
Yes, candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
What educational prerequisites must be met?
Candidates must be pursuing a degree and enrolled in at least 6 credit hours, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Does the internship require any specific skills or experience?
Yes, experience with programming languages, electronics hardware assembly, and basic laboratory equipment is preferred.
