Requirements

  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in electrical or electronics engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or computer science from an accredited institution
  • Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in embedded systems and exposure to software languages including C++, Java, and/or Python.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
  • Hands-on experience in circuit board design, debugging and testing.
  • Prior internship or co-op experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or community.

Responsibilities

  • This internship will provide exposure to a combination of hardware and software product development support opportunities. Assignments will be supporting solid state and hybrid circuit protection technology development as part of the newly formed Advanced Technology team in Eaton’s Protection, Control and Solutions Business. Our strategic teams in this area are working on cutting edge technologies including:
  • Development of embedded hardware for power distribution products
  • Firmware and software development for micro-controllers
  • And more!
