Requirements

  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required – preferably English, Communications, Event Management, HR or Marketing
  • Position Requirements:
  • Must possess strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills. Extensive experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – flexible, energetic, collaborative, proactive, detail- oriented, highly motivated.
  • Strong team player who enjoys working in multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain very high-level of confidentiality.
  • Self-starter with interest in the automotive industry.
  • Experience seeking out appropriate resources when necessary while utilizing them efficiently and intelligently
  • Position is limited to a 40 hour/week structure, with a limited potential for overtime due to travel or increased workload.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer in an office environment.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Responsibilities

  • Support major events with vendor research & management, registration, communications, logistics, etc.)
  • Support several EE activities - Taste of OPD (12), Holiday Drives (2), several Volunteer and Community events
  • Prepare recognition highlights for newsletter, draft all DEIB newsletters, contractor recognition reports, culture roadmap support
  • Support Supplier Diversity Event, DEIB planning of activities and events, BRG support, strategy expansion (provide support for Info Sessions & Heritage Month events), R&R event month templates.
  • Write, edit and distribute various DEIB Drive Online intranet pages, schedule and organize pop up events at OPD, support cross-collaborative activities including DEIB/MARCOMM initiatives.
  • Work through the creation of a new Intersectionality initiative with all BRGs. (DEIB), Drive Online adoption and updates (Internal Comms), branding spotlights featuring employee spotlights (Engagement), and team reports and analysis – advanced excel skills.
  • Support social branding, respond to employee feedback/comments, and integrate Excite! branding for consistent communications.
  • Research, present, and act as SPOC for all candidates for the Minority Leadership Program (assist with program development, organize class set up), DEIB training, select LinkedIn Learning highlights
  • I&D Quarterly newsletter
  • Support for Anaphora, dashboards, Drive Online.
