Requirements

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the Summer 2024 internship
  • Actively pursuing a graduate degree Computer Science, Statistics, Physics or other related degree at an accredited university during internship
  • Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
  • Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
  • Students will be assigned to a specific group within the Carelon Digital Platforms organization based on skill set and need of the business. Graduate students should have experience and education in:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Superb problem-solving skills using logic and data
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in technical aspects of computer and software engineering
  • Ability to articulate complex technical issues to those not as experienced
  • Knowledge of various coding technologies such as, but not limited to Java, JavaScript, React, NodeJs, Angular, Python, R.
  • Familiarity with containerization/orchestration using cloud native stack and associated application design principles
  • Ability to convey the problem and solution pictorially using Powerpoint, Miro or other equivalent technologies.
  • Intellectually curious self-starters with the ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible team environment
  • Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Proven analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication abilities
