Requirements

  • Student enrolled in their second to fourth-year of Bachelor’s Degree program in Civil, Environmental, Electrical, Mechanical, required.
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
  • Course experience and progressive knowledge of relevant engineering principles
  • Familiarity with relevant engineering software/programs and Microsoft Office software, to include Word and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and permitting of projects
  • Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses
  • Aid with the preparation of detailed engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and supporting documents
  • Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects
  • Plan, coordinate and execute work in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner
  • Assist and gain knowledge of planning, coordination and execution of work in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and compliance manner while learning and following relevant codes and industry standards
  • Responsible to develop construction document/drawings appropriate to programmatic requirements under the direction of the Project Manager
  • Review and process shop drawings and submittals
  • Continually coordinate and interface with Engineering staff and all other engineering disciplines
  • Other duties as assigned by Project Manager
