  • High School Diploma
  • Currently Attending a College or University for plastics technology, mechanical, industrial, or chemical engineering.
  • Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology.
  • Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Product Development Engineer in all aspects of the product development process including materials selection, manufacturing process, validation requirements, component assembly, and installation to vehicle
  • Planning, executing, and reporting on various studies required to support product development
  • Coordinate engineering changes, and associated trials
  • Effectively utilize CAD technology to execute studies and engineering changes in CAD
  • Prepare mathematical computations, dimensional and tolerance studies in accordance with engineering/customer requirements
  • Assist engineering by generating studies, concepts and sketches, of specific areas, to improve design or eliminate engineering concerns
  • Evaluate studies against established objectives
